Det här är min favorit:quote: A further breakdown of the results was carried out to establish whether participants might have been more successful in their identifications earlier in the test, i.e. to see whether listener fatigue or some similar mechanism might be a factor. There was no evidence of this.

quote:
TAG McLaren Audio uses the 'experimental physics' approach. Applied to audio, this means we let our 'golden ears'1 assess the sound quality differences of each design step independently from the engineering team ('the experiment'). Any detected change, for better or worse, is then translated into a scientific theory by our engineering team with the goal of explaining the experiment and beyond ('the physics'). This combination of experiment and resulting theory has shown in many instances that a good theory allows prediction of other results not initially covered by the experiment. In fact some of the most surprising discoveries of this century (e.g. anti matter, relativity theory) were found from applying this principle. The 'experimental physics' approach is quite different from the 'absolute science' approach, in which you only believe what you can objectively measure (i.e. we would never believe our 'golden ears') or the 'empirical method' where no theory to explain the whole set of experiments is formulated.
