I've got a pair of 8.3's as surroundspeakers, their performance is really awsome considering the price. I actuall bought them becouse the where so good at that pricepoint, with no actuall need for them . But they are a bit hard to drive with smaller amps. With only 86db sensetivety you need a capable amp for higher volumes. Don't know much about the C320 but I think it should be enough for most levels. The Diamonds outperforms Misson, Kef, Gale and most other speakers in that price-range. Their detail and resolution is very very good. Build quality is agreable, not great. For the price, in my opinion, you can't find a better speaker if you like resolution and accurasy. |

It all comes down to your personal preferencies. The new Diamond's has a mature and neutral sound, by this I mean that they can sound a bit unimpressive when comparing to some other speakers at their price point, but this means that they're more lifelike and less tiring in the long end. They love good electronics, the better you give them - the better they sound. So their upper limit is high, when considering their price. The NAD has enough power to drive them, and with a good CD player (or other source), this can be a really nice combination and a good start.
Let the size of your room decide what Diamond to buy. For example, going for the biggest one in a small room isn't good. This can lead to bass boom. Perhaps the best thing you can do is to borrow the two Diamonds you mention and trying them out in your own home. Many hi-fi retailers allows this.
Best wishes, Roland

| I'd go for the 8.3's in that room. The extra woofer in the 8.4 is probably just wasting your money. Save it and spend it on a nice cd-player instead. |

Hi-Fi Punkten www.hifi-punkten.se martin@hifi-punkten.se has the Diamonds. It's my favourite hi-fi shop, and the owner Mr. Martin Nicklasson is a very nice guy and he might be able to help you decide which Diamond that will suit your room the best. I bought my amp, DAC and cables from him, he's very helpful and has great knowledge.
But, I personally believes that the 8.3 might be the best. I have a similar room size and I believe that for this room size the 8.4 may be a bit too much.
The Diamonds are a great buy for the money.
Best wishes, Roland
