Åtminstånde tror jag att de är nya
För er som får Elusive Discs email kanske har läst om detta lilla skivbolag. Bolaget heter Fidelis Records och blandar lite Opus 3 filosofi med gamla Sheffield Labs och en ny. Eller vad sägs om: live direct to master, "authentic environment" och så det lite nya och annorlunda...skivorna släpps på CD-R!!! De har inte så många releaser, men kan vara intressant för en del.

Fidelis Records philosophy for producing recordings is one that is unique in many ways. Driven by the pursuit of capturing the soul of the music and magic that occurs between musicians in a live performance is what has lead them to a very distinct (and great sounding) selection of CD's. Not content with the sound and feel of the often used multitrack recording process, all Fidelis Records performances are played live, start to finish, direct to master with no over-dubbing or splicing! Every piece of music is recorded in an acoustical space that allows the music to live. Typical recording rooms are old churches, sanctuaries, art museums or theaters that are specifically chosen for their clean, balanced
and natural sound. During the recording process, the signal path is kept as short as possible and typical processing such as compression, limiting and equalization are NOT used. Further, all recording equipment is custom built by Tube Research Labs, Inc. giving each recording an extraordinarily dynamic and lifelike feel. Finally, each CD is then made individually, burnt in realtime (not stamped) on a Gold CD-R for dramatically increased fidelity and sound.
