Är sugen på nya hörlurar så tog tillfället i akt när jag var i Göteborg under helgen att lyssna på Sennheiser HD800 med HDVD 800. Har Sennheiser 580 och Benchmark DAC 1 idag och gillar dem ljudmässigt.
Gillade dock inte HD800 alls utan tyckte HD 600(som jag jämförde med i butiken) lät bättre. Ljudet blev tunnare och "långsammare". Visst mer detaljer men kändes som musikerna spelade i otakt, testade då Audeze LCD-2 som jag tyckte lät bättre än HD800 men inte helt gjutet.
Lyssnade på bl.a. Markus Krunegård, Stravinksy, Apoptygma Berzerk(synth), Leonard Cohen och Norah Jones detta genom airplay och wimp hifi.
Nu till min fråga är det dac/hörlursförstärkaren(HDVD800) som kan vara boven i dramat eller behöver jag helt enkelt inte köpa några nya lurar?

Det beror på att kombinationen spelar med en sådan precision att du tydligt hör när musikerna inte spelar i takt. ;-)
Du kanske ska spara pengarna. Det låter som att du är nöjd med det du har.

Jag föredrog också mina gamla HD650 framför HD800. HD800 hade en tonal tilt uppåt som bara var jobbig, som om någon skruvat upp diskanten på en eq. Jag tog mig till Akkelis i Göteborg och lyssnade på en massa lurar och förstärkare innan valet föll på Audeze LCD-2 ballanserat driva av en BMC PureDac. Jag är väldigt nöjd med ljudet från den kombon. Audeze LCD-2 låter helt olika beroende på vilken version det är och tjänar på att drivas ballanserat. Den jag har är inte alls så mörk som tidigare versioner och jag föredrar helt klart den neutralare klangen i senare versioner av LCD-2.
Tror inte du ska ge upp än, leta vidare efter en kombination som levererar det du söker. Det är lika stora skillnader som när man söker vanliga förstärkare och högtalare. |

Var tvungen att googla lite och hittade lite blandade omdömen om HDVD 800. Kan vara hörlursförstärkaren som är boven i dramat.
"Sorry I forgot to mention: yes I also tried HD800 with both normal and balanced cable to an HDVD800. There was more power to drive the HD800 it seemed, but the sound wasn't spectacular, only analytical. It's a very high level amp but I had at least a good experience with the Oppo."

"Then we get to the negative parts of the HDVD 800, the dac. For the price you might expect to get a "end game" solution, where neither amp nor dac leave anything to be desired. This isn't the case with the HDVD 800 though. Where Sennheiser put the most effort and money is on the amp, and that is clearly audible when you plug other dacs into the HDVD 800 and compare. The markup going from the HDVA 600 to the HDVD 800 is about ¤300 where I live, and the dac in the HDVD 800 sounds about as good as a ¤300 dac. I compared it to a Asus Xonar Essence ST sound card which uses a the same dac as the HDVD 800 dac, and the results were nearly indistinguishable. The HDVD 800 was slightly more refined and smoother in the higher frequencies, but I had to listen for it. The first few seconds there didn't appear to be any difference. Not exactly the result you'd want.
When plugging in a higher priced dac like the Violectric V800, Xonar Essence One Muses Edition or Hegel HD10 the HDVD 800 dac starts sounding like an insult to the amp it's attached to."

Det finns några som rapporterar om den tonala puckeln på HD800.
Andra hör den inte alls, däribland jag som upplever att luren har ett väldigt naturligt ljud. Min Denon AH-D7000 låter däremot lite mer tiltad uppåt i diskanten.
Jag har HD600 också, men av äldre datum. Jag har läst att ljudet har ändrats på den genom åren.
Jag undrar om vi kan uppleva ljudet från lurar olika? |
